Helen V. Dixon, 88, of Hannibal, died at 3:23 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Willow Care Nursing Center in Hannibal.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor John Hayes will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Mrs. Dixon was born on Saturday, Oct. 10, 1925, in Pike County, Ill., the daughter of Lawrence and Myrtle Anderson O’Brien. She married Delmar Dixon and he preceded her in death in May 1989.
Her parents; three sisters, Justine Leonard, Marie Arnold and Angie Poage; four brothers, Richard O’Brien, Russell O’Brien, Chester O’Brien and Lawrence O’Brien also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Dewayne (Lana) Dixon from Sedalia, Mo.; one daughter Sandra Wemhaner of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, May Sheffield of Hannibal, Mo., and Betty Smithey of Jefferson City, Mo.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Helen will be sadly missed by family and friends.
