Captain Maurice Solomon Fuller migrated to Georgia via covered wagon from Pittsylvania County, VA in 1849 bring with him six slaves (a mother and five children), to care for his family.

They settled in Cherokee County, GA naming their community "Little Virginia." A number of Virginia famililes migrated to Georgia about this time, settling in the southwestern corner of Cherokee County. These settlers were from the tobacco growing regions of Virginia and came from the best family stock of that state.

Married Nancy Harris on November 23, 1825 in Pittsylvania County, VA.
