Harriet (Hanger) Ellis, 82, ol Dennis, died Friday, Jan. 19 at her home. Born in Washington, D.C., she graduated from Hilton Arms School there and attended Smith College, Northampton and graduated from Katherine Gibbs School, New York City. In New York she managed a church gift shop and worked as a private secretary. A longtime resident of Dennis, she was the wife of the late Raymond M. Ellis. Survivors include a brother, William G. Hanger of Dennis and many nieces and nephews. Burial was private. Memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurse Association of Central Cape Cod, Box 737, South Dennis or Animal Rescue League of Boston, 10 Chandler St., Boston 02116.
