Dorothy was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Thomas Benjamin Cheek and Minnie Lou Cotton Cheek. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Baylor University and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Upon graduation, she moved to Bryan and married Bill Carll. She worked for 30 years as a teacher, librarian, and assistant to the principal at Crockett Elementary School. Her true life's work was raising and nurturing her three children: Pinky, Thomas, and Carolynn. She was a talented cook, a creative crocheter, gracious hostess, an avid sports fan, and a loyal friend. Her love of travel with family took her to Colorado, the Great Northwest, and Europe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; and her three older brothers.
Survivors include her sons, Pinky, and wife, Frances, and Thomas and wife, Susan; daughter, Carolynn Harder, and husband, Mathew; grandchildren: Kelly, Kendall, Kyle, Kathryn, Stephanie, Elly, and Samuel; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. K5
