Dr. James P. Dawson went to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on November 3, 2013. He was born on October 18, 1932, to Fred and Vic Dawson in Drummond, Oklahoma.
He lived in many different towns in Oklahoma in his early years. He married Mary Jean Chody February 28, 1951. He served with the 45th National Guard unit during the Korean War. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a Master's in Physical Chemistry from Oklahoma State University. He received a Doctorate in Theology & Apologetics from Trinity Theological Seminary. He worked at NASA in the Lunar Receiving Lab during the Apollo missions. He founded the Oklahoma Foundation for R and D, Jayphil and Zeteo Corporations and Aaron C Ministries. He started KOKF Christian Radio Station.
He enjoyed many activities: Scuba diving, sailing his Trimaran, Amateur Radio, and held a private pilot license. He has written 87 technical articles in Thermodynamics, Radiation Physics and Remote Sensing. He has written 10 books on Prophecy and the End Times.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Dawson; daughters, Pamela Wanzer and Eileen Lane; three grandchildren, James Gattis, Tori and Cindy Lane; three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Gabriel, and Eden Gattis; and his brother, Bob Dawson. No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist of Alexandria Foundation, inc., 2932 King St, Alexandria, VA 22032, in memory of James P. Dawson for Seminary Scholarships.

His ashes will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, Mary Jean Dawson, on January 20th. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford, OK.
