Mr. iris M. Burns, "Rusty", age 71 of Palestine died at Forrest Mem. Hosp. on Aug. 26, 1977. He had been in poor health several years. He was the son of Georgia Martin Burns and David King Burns. He was born Sept. 12, 1906, and had made his home in Palestine his entire life. He was a retired farmer and a member and elder of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Palestine. He married Miss Louise Whittle in 1928. She survives him along with two sons, Jimmy and Jack Burns of Palestine; two brothers, Abe M. Burns, Donald Burns, both of Palestine; a Sister, Mrs. Marie Danehower of Forrest City; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren
