Ada “Wadean” Holder, 89, of rural Napton, MO, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall with Rev. Dan Meadows and Rev. Matt Arni officiating. Burial will follow in Nelson Cemetery at Nelson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Nelson Baptist Church and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born April 14, 1927 in Urbana, MO, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Parker and Idress Hopper Parker. She lived in Saline County her entire life and was a graduate of Nelson High School. On June 15, 1943 she married Charles “Fred” Holder who preceded her in death on December 17, 2009. Wadean was a homemaker and a member of Nelson Baptist Church.

Survivors include three children, Charles F. Holder and wife Cheryl of rural Napton, Kathryn Ann Shepard and husband Bill of Slater, and Monte D. Holder and wife Tonya of rural Nelson; one brother, Jim Parker of Blue Springs; one sister, Helen McPherson of Grain Valley; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers: Denzil R. Parker, George W. Parker, Frank A. Parker, and Edward L. Parker; as well as one sister, Patricia A. Parker.
