age 96, formerly of Canton, passed away Friday morning Aug. 12, 2016 at the Bethany Lutheran Village in Dayton, Ohio. He was born Sept. 5, 1919 in Canton, the son of the late Herman J. and Margaret (Keffler) Laubacher. Ed retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 31 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and NARFE. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; son Brian; sister Olivia Kintz; brothers, Joe, Tom and Bernard. He is survived by four sons, two sisters, two granddaughters, two great-grandchildren.
