Erica was born and raised in Ava, Missouri and this is where she met her late husband Earl L. Riley. They were married in the same house where she was born. They soon moved to Southern California where she worked as a telephone operator for many years while raising their four children. In her most recent years she was a receptionist at the Greenhorn Guest Ranch near the home she resided. She loved to sew, quilt and be with her family and will be remembered as a loving wife and caring mother. She was always more concerned about how others were doing and did not dwell on her own daily challenges. Erica had great morals and respect for others. In her passing Erica leaves her four children; Mike (Jenny) Riley of Temecula, CA, Dave (Cathy) Riley of Meadow Valley, CA, John (Mickey) Riley of El Dorado Hills, CA and Trish (Ralph) Wilburn of Greenhorn Ranch, CA, sister; LaVelle (Bud) Clinkingbeard and family of Ava, MO, eight grandchildren,, eleven great grandchildren, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in her passing by her husband Earl L. Riley and brother; Edwin Brentlinger. She will be fondly remembered as "Greenhorn Nana" to her family and many friends. Memorial services will take place 1:00PM Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Meadow Valley Community Church. Food will be provided following the services in the church's social hall.
