Dora was the daughter of Benjamin T. Bristow and Mary Victoria Cunningham. She probably was born in Greene County, Missouri. She married first very young at age 13 to George Thomas Richards who was age 22 at the time. They married on 8 Aug 1897 in Taylor Township, Greene County, Missouri. The following year on 25 May 1898 Dora gave birth to their son, Benjamin Franklin Richards. The marriage did not last. They were divorced on 18 May 1900.

Dora remarried to Mitalen Columbus Johnson (Mitt) on 10 Nov 1900 in Strafford, Greene County, Missouri. They had 2 sons: Leland born 1905 and Ralph born 1908.

Dora was in the 1910 census living with her second husband Mitt, son Benjamin from first marriage and 2 sons from Mitt.

Mitt gives his son Leland as nearest relative on his WWI Draft Registration in Sep of 1918.

Mitt is listed as widowed on his death certificate.

Leland is living with his paternal grandmother in 1920 census as 15 year old.

For all those reasons, I conclude Dora died after 1910 and before Sep 1918. However, I have not found her death certificate on the Missouri Digital Archives Death Records.
