William R. Bannon, 92, of Pendleton, passed away January 5, 2017 at Fall Creek Retirement Center. He was born April 29, 1924 in Boone County and resided most of his life in Pendleton.
He served his country in the Army during WWII, and retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 32 years of service.
After retirement, Bill and his wife Eva traveled all over the country.
He was a member of Madison Masonic Lodge #44 F. & A.M..
Bill is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Bannon; father, Benjamin Bannon; and mother, Arnola Bannon.
Visitation will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Brother Lance Stevens officiating.
Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association, or The Anderson VFW Post #266.
