Harve Nixon Buried Sunday

Harve Nixon, native of Albany, died at 1:30 Saturday morning. He had been ill the past two months with a heart ailment. He was 66.
Mr. Nixon was able to be up Friday, and he and Mrs. Nixon drove over to Hubbard Creek Lake.
Funeral services were held at 3:oo Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist Church, with the pastor, Rev. Marion E. Kirchner, officiating.
The body lay in state at the church from 2 to 3.
Burial was in the Albany Cemetery under direction of Godfrey Funeral home.
Harvey Samuel Nixon was born in Albany October 24, 1898, son of the late Joseph and Adeline Nixon. He was reared in Albany and attended the local school. During 1917-18 he was a member of the National Guard, stationed at Camp Bowie.
For many years he was employed in the oil fields until he suffered an injury in a car accident in the early 1930's. He was vice-president of Albany Abstract Co., of which his wife is president.
He was married to Jewel Pool at Roby June 26, 1927, and they have made Albany their home since.
Mr. Nixon was a member of the Woodmen of the World. During World War II he served as mess sergeant for the Albany State Guard Company.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Roy Suther of Vancouver, Wash; a sister, Miss Ethel Nixon of Albany; five grandchildren, Charlotte, Vickie Rae, Janice, David and Marshall Suther of Vancouver; and six nephews. The daughter, Mrs. Suther, arrived in Love Field Saturday night by plane from Washington and was met there by Mrs. William h, Pool of Richardson and brought to Albany.
