Lemuel A. Crabb
Lemuel A. CRABB, 78, Culver, died Monday noon at Osteopathic hospital in South Bend after a two-week illness.
Born in Kosciusko county Nov. 17, 1887, he had lived in the Culver community since 1909, moving there from Leiters Ford. He was married Aug. 3, 1904, at Culver to Lulu LOUDEN, who survives.
A Culver furniture merchant for 40 years, he retired nine years ago. He was a member of the Emmanuel E.U.B. church and on its board of trustees for 30 years, serving as chairman at the time of his death.
Surviving, besides the widow, are two sons, Merl [CRABB], Culfer, and Ernest [CRABB], Argos; five brothers, Arthur and Alvah [CRABB], both of Kewanna; George [CRABB], Winamac; Jesse [CRABB], Butler, Ind., and Cleve [CRABB], Culver; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Last rites will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Emmanuel E.U.B. church with the Rev. Vernon L. PALMER officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove cemetery east of Culver. Friends may call at the Easterday funeral home until 11 a.m. Thursday and at the church from noon Thursday until the hour of the service.
