KINGS MOUNTAIN Mrs. Maxine Boggs Grayson, 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at Century Care of Shelby.

She was a native of Cleveland County and a daughter of the late A.M. and Annie Mae Lutz Boggs. She was widow of the late Thomas Woodrow Grayson Sr., after 37 years of marriage.

She was also preceded in death by sisters, Selma Sigmon, Zora Falls and Ola Williams.

She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Kings Mountain, where she was very active. She co-taught the Adult Fellowship class with Willie Plonk Patterson.

She was a retired teacher with the Kings Mountain District Schools, teaching mostly at East Elementary. She helped hundreds of students make their dreams come true. She attended Asheville Teachers College.

Burial will be in Mountain Rest Cemetery.
