She was born January 22, 1891 in Johnson County, the daughter of Barnett and Rose Ragsdale Gore. On March 22, 1908 she married W. T. Adams. He preseded her in death August 22, 1966. Mrs. Adams is survived by three sons, Doyle Adams of Route 3, Vienna, Gilbert Adams of Herrin, Leon Adams of Decatur; two daughters, Mae Jones of Dongola and Faye Beggs of Bunvombe; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Esther Laird of Springfield.She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Friday, August 10, 1984 at 1 p.m. at Aly Funeral Home, Vienna. Rev. Robert Stubblefield officiated. Burial was in the Cypress Masonic Cemetery.
