Joseph Patrick Lewis, of Hampstead, died from injuries sustained in a car accident. He was the son of the late Elton Wayne Lewis and the late Marianne Elmore Best. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Lewis. Mr. Lewis was employed by Standard Glass for the past fifteen years. He was a 1983 graduate of Topsail High School. He was a devoted father and husband, and was loved by many friends. He was always helping and doing things for others. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Lewis; sons, Noah and Jacob; and daughter, Samantha; brothers, William Porter, Robert Porter, Tim Porter and David Lewis; sisters, Suzanne Howard and Mary Jo Melton; his mother and father-in-law, Bobby and Patsy Vickery; brother-in-law, Glenn Vickery; sister-in-law, Melissa Branch, and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
