A. A. Prock Service Held On Friday
Services for Alonzo Alex (Lonnie) Prock, 55, were held in Hollis on Friday, March 1, at 10 a.m. in the Hollis church of Christ. Minister earl Brecheen and Rev. Robert Cargill, officiated.
Interment was in Fairmount cemetery with Tims Funeral home in charge.
Mr. Prock, a life-long resident of Hollis, born Sept. 23, 1907, was in the freight business and had a wide circle of friends. downtown stores closed during the services. He had died suddenly following a heart attack at his home on Feb. 27.
Surviving are his wife, Bobbie, Hollis, and a son, Clifford John of Searcey, Ark. Sisters include Mrs. Dora Chaney, Hollis; Mrs. Bessie Smith, McGregor, Texas; Mrs. Hattie McKnight, Kaufman, Texas. There are three grandchildren.
Bearers were Doug Burns, Jerry Robinson, John Denton, Max McLaughlin, Jerry Daniel and Dale Penington. Honorary bearers were members of the Hollis Riding club. Song services were by the quartet: Roy Thomas, Orville Rippetoe, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Dudek.
