BIDWELL — Floyd D. Myers, 82, of Bidwell, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Holzer Senior Care Center.
He was born December 25, 1934 in Walnut Township, Gallia County, son of the late Chester A. and Georgiana C. Pope Myers. Floyd was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the American Legion, Oak Hill, Ohio; Moose Lodge, Ironton, Ohio; and Bethesda United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his daughters, Luana Phelps of Burlington, Kentucky and Aneda Williams of Florence, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Brian and Lauren; five great grandchildren and one great great grandson; a brother, Henry (Pauline) Myers of Patriot; two sisters, Charlotte Patrick of Gallipolis and Jean (Ed) Cheatham of Rustburg, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd L. Myers and Chester E. Myers.
There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m., Monday, January 9, 2017 at St. Martin's Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor John Jackson officiating. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family. There will be full military services by the VFW Honor Guard.
