Stahr, Jr., E. Russell "Russ" Passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the age of 79.

Russ was born May 17, 1937 in Grand Rapids, Mich. to the late Ernest and Marie (Dekorne) Stahr, Sr.

He was united in marriage to Susan Burnham on June 26, 1988.

Russ served in the U.S. Navy until honorably discharged in August of 1961. Among Russ's several interests included being a lifelong Redwings and Cubs fan, as well as enjoying golf, bowling and the country of Scotland. He also enjoyed a juicy medium-rare steak along with a good single malt scotch. Later in life, he perfected his "grumpy old man" routine.

Russ is survived by his wife, Sue Stahr; children, Barry (Jacki) Stahr and Valerie (Tommy) Lunarde; 3 grandchildren, Russell Stahr, David Stahr and Jake Lunarde; sister, Suzie (Jim) Chambers; and several nieces and nephews.

Russ was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Stahr.

Per Russ's wishes, cremation has taken place. No visitation or services are scheduled. The family served by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
