Mary Dobyanski, 94, of Navasota, died Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Grimes St. Joseph in Navasota.

Calling hours were held from 1:00 - 4:00 pm Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home with a gathering of family and friends that took place from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1511 Hwy 90 in Anderson. A rosary concluded the evening at 7:00 pm .

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Monday, April 7, 2014 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Rev. Edward C. Kucera, Jr. as the celebrant. The rite of committal will follow in St. Stanislaus Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Robbie Dobyanski, Clint Dobyanski, Adam Dobyanski, Judson Poret, Alex Quinones, Michael Eastep, Jody Wilkerson and Russell Fredwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Dominick Fredwood, Jeremy Poret, Eli Eastep, Ethan Strawn Jeremy and Justin Wilkerson, Jaden Dobyanski, David Dobyanski, Cole Dobyanski and Addison Dobyanski.

Mary was born December 13, 1919 in Anderson to John and Magdalene Matelski Benkoski. It was in February of 1942 that she married John Adam Dobyanski. A housewife, Mary enjoyed quilting and sewing, working in her flower and vegetable gardens and canning. Another favorite pastime for Mary was visiting with all her friends and family, but her greatest love was her family and taking care of her grandchildren. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and Altar Society.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters, Cecilia Ann Dobyanski and Magdalene Laskowski, and grandchildren, Debra Wagner, Jeremy Ray Poret, Rodney Paul Laskowski and John Michael Dobyanski, brother, Harold Benkoski, sisters, Alice Lindhorst, Martha Anderson and Verna Kimiecik.

Survivors include sons, David Dobyanski and wife, Lillian, of Plantersville, Thomas Dobyanski and wife, Carolyn, John Raymond Dobyanski, all of Anderson and Bernard Dobyanski and wife, Marlana, of Navasota; daughters, Katherine Wagner and husband, Ralph, of Anderson, Carolyn Stark and husband, David, Patricia Dobyanski and Dianne Sechelski and husband, Dennis, all of Navasota; a sister, Frances Sechelski of Navasota; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.


In lieu of usual remembrances, the family has suggested memorials in Mary's name to Hospice Brazos Valley-Brenham, 302 E. Blue Bell Road, Brenham, TX 77833.
