Jeff Irving Beazer, returned home to his parents on January 3, 2017 at EIRMC. He was born January 7, 1955 in Idaho Falls to Arland Richard and Afton Sudweeks Beazer.
It was determined he had Down Syndrome and recommended he be placed in a facility for children like him. After much deliberation and heart break, Jeff spent the next 21 years in Nampa at the Idaho State School and Hospital, with the family visiting when they could and bringing him home for short periods of time. In 1976, he was moved back to Idaho Falls to be closer to family. He was currently under the care of Aspire Human Services.
Jeff loved to eat, sneak other people’s drink, and watch TV. He liked to go places and always insisted on sitting in the front seat. He had a gentle, fun loving spirit.
Jeff is survived by his brothers Arland Syd Beazer (Ruth Ann) and Mark Richard Beazer (Becky), and sisters Cindy Lee Walker (Richard) and Denice young (Paul). He will be greatly missed by his fellow group home residents, especially his roommate John and the care givers.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff at Hoopes House #3 and Aspire Human Services for their loving care.
Private family services will be held Saturday, with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery next to his parents. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com.
