Ray Oliver of East Prairie, a former resident of Cape Girardeau, was found dead in bed this morning at East Prairie. Coroner John Nunnelee of Charleston said death was due to natural causes. The body was brought to the Brinkopf-Howell Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have not been made pending the arrival of relatives.
Mr. Oliver is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Devore of Fort Worth, Tex.; a brother, Ivan Oliver of Leadwood; four sisters, Mrs. Harry Davis, Mrs. Leslie Walden, Mrs. Earl Abernathy and Mrs. Jack Nichols, all of St. Louis, and his mother, Mrs. Minnie Oliver of St. Louis.
While in Cape Girardeau he was employed at the shoe factory and also the garment factory at Fornfelt. In recent years he was employed in a factory at East Prairie.
