Mr. James Roland Cozart, age 93 passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 in the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with a private family burial to follow. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 9:00 – 10:00 A.M., in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.

Mr. Cozart was preceded in death by his parents: Herman Wesley and Morine Williams Cozart and one brother: Colon Cozart.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years: Laura Jo Cozart, Brownsville, TN, three sons: Jerry Cozart, James R. Cozart (Adela), both of Brownsville, TN, Joe Cozart (Effie), Collierville, TN and four grandchildren: Zara Elizabeth Cozart, Jeff Cozart, Jesse Cozart and Laura Grace Cozart.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Foundation Fighting Blindness, 7168 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia, MD 21046 or the charity of choice.
