ANNA MARIE HINKSON CHAMAR
ANNA MARIE CHAMAR, 92, of Mentor Ohio, formerly of Fort Wayne, was received in to the loving arms of the Lord on Friday, Dec. 25, 2015, with her family by her side. Born Feb. 8, 1923, in New Castle, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Harold Leroy and Lydia (Travis) Hinkson. Anna Marie was an active member of Aldersgate UMC for 50 years, singing in the choir, Stephens Ministry, Clowns of the Ministry, and Bereavement Dinners. She also delivered Home Bound Meals for over 20 years. She enjoyed cross stitching and baking. She was known for her famous coconut cakes, Texas sheet cakes and her warm and loving hugs. Surviving family include her son, William H. Chamar of Mentor, Ohio; daughter, Ellen M. Chamar of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Pamela J. (Don) Budzicki, Dawn M. (Gary) Johnston and Lori A. (Charles) Wiley; 11 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Hinkson of Indiana and Leroy (Sue) Hinkson of Tennessee; sisters, Audrey Davis of Arizona, Jeanetta Ellashek and Delores (John) Anzelmo, both of Ohio.; sisters-in-law, Beverly Hinkson and Carol Hinkson, both of Missouri.; and many nieces, nephews and good friends. She was also preceded in passing by her husband, William A., whom she married on Sept. 12, 1941; brothers, William H., George, John, and Jerry Hinkson; sisters, Mildred Lazenby and Maxine Dabb; and daughter-in-law, Dianne R. Chamar. Funeral service is 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2417 Getz Road, Fort Wayne, with a gathering of friends and family starting at 11 a.m. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. William A. Chamar, 83, beloved husband of Anna Marie Chamar passed away September 7th at Hospice Home. He was born May 2, 1920 in Youngstown, Ohio. He loved his God and his family. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He retired from Conrail Railroad in 1981 after 42 years of service as a train dispatcher.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Anna Marie Chamar, his son William H. Chamar (Dianne) of Mentor, OH, his daughter Ellen Chamar of Fort Wayne; 3 grandchildren, Pamela Chamar, (Mentor, OH), Dawn Johnston (Gary) (Painsville, OH), Lori Chamar (Mentor, OH) 5 Great-grandchildren, Paul, Desirea, Megan, Ally and Audrey, nephew, John Paul Carlson of Youngstown, OH, niece, Cristine Kilbane of Youngstown, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony Albert Chamar and Myrtle Margaret Chamar (Hurney) and a sister Marie Carlson of Youngstown, OH.

Services 11am Thursday with calling one hour prior at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2417 Getz Road. Calling also 2 to 5 & 7 to 9pm Wednesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to Aldersgate United Methodist Church or Visiting Nurse Service's Hospice Home.

AUSTINTOWN -- Friends and family gathered Aug. 10 at the Holiday Inn, Boardman, to honor Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ellashek, 5398 N. Beacon Drive, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Hosts for the dinner party were the couple's children and their spouses, Bob Jr. and Jiffy Ellashek of Westlake Village, Calif.; Larry and Wanda Ellashek of McDonald; and Lynn and Wally Foster of Mantua. There are five grandchildren in the family.

Woodland Avenue Lutheran Church was the setting Aug. 16, 1952, for the wedding of the former Jeannette Hinkson and Mr. Ellashek. They are members of Zion Lutheran Church in Youngstown.

Mrs. Ellashek retired in 1992 from Packard Electric in Hubbard.

Her husband served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired in 1976 from General Fireproofing in Youngstown, where he was a supervisor.
