Obituary.
At Fargo, April 29th, Mrs. Rhoda H. West passed away at the advanced age of 78 years and one month. Deceased had suffered with paralysis for the last five years. She was born in Washington county, N.Y., in 1812. Her maiden name was Williams. She was married in 1830 to Mr. Levi West. They moved from Washington county to Essex county, the same state, where they lived up to the time of her husband’s death, which occurred in 1868. In the fall of 1870 Mrs. West and several of her children moved to Leaf Valley, Douglas county, where she lived up to about 10 years ago. She moved to Alexandria and resided there about eight years when she moved to Fargo, N.D., two years ago. Deceased was the mother of thirteen children, ten of whom survive her, four of them living in Douglas county, James and David West, Mrs. Esther Aldrich and Mrs. A. P. Morse. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Alexandria.
