Worcester Telegram & Gazette (MA) — Friday, September 18, 1998 MILFORD - Mary Lee (Lachey) Armbruster, 79, of 20 Simmons Drive, a corporate accounting manager for many years, died Thursday at home after an illness.

Her husband, Harry P. Armbruster, died in 1964. She leaves two sons, John P. Armbruster of Webster and Robert L. Armbruster of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Gail Armbruster-Berke of Milford, with whom she lived; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of George and Helen (Morley) Lachey, and later lived in Los Angeles and Orlando, Fla. She then lived many years in Columbus, Ohio, before moving here in July. She graduated from the University of Southern California High School in 1937 and attended the University of Southern California.

While living in Orlando, Mrs. Armbruster was a teacher of English as a Second Language for Spanish-speaking immigrants. She also taught oil painting in the Orlando school system. She was then manager of the accounting department in the corporate offices of The Limited Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, for many years, retiring in 1995.

Mrs. Armbruster was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. While in college, she was president of the Chi Rho Zeta sorority.

The funeral will be held tomorrow from Ruggerio-Consigli Funeral Home, 46 Water St., with a Mass at noon in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Winter Street. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Greater Milford, 391 South Main St., Hopedale, MA 01747.
