After high school graduation she moved to Marshall to work as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. In Marshall she met and married Lindberg “Lucky” Pyle on April 5, 1949. If you asked her she would tell you her greatest achievement in life was being a mom and a memee.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Wilson; two grandchildren, Brandon Wilson, and Kristin Wilson Hartsfield and husband Ryan; four great-grandchildren, Boston and Maddox Wilson, Ava and Hannah Hartsfield; two sisters, Nadine Hagan and husband Ken, and Laverne Norman; two brothers, Gerald Gardner and wife Robbie, and Jerry Gardner and wife Darlene; step son, Jimmy Pyle and his son Shane Pyle and wife Jeanne; Jimmy’s grandchildren, Hailey, McKenzie, and Bryson.
