HARTMAN, BLANCHE (ION) — Mrs. Hartman of Curllsville Dies at 82 — SLIGO -- Mrs. Blanche Hartman, 82, of Curllsville, widow of Andrew Fox Hartman, died at 3 a.m. Saturday in Brookville Hospital. She was born April 13, 1887, in Clarion Township, Clarion County, a daughter of George and Anna Elder Ion. She and Andrew Fox Hartman were married October 6, 1915. He died June 15, 1956. Mrs. Hartman was a member of th United Church of Christ at Curllsville and a member of the Women's Guild of the church. She was an active member of the Gray Ladies at Deshon Hospital in Butler, adult leader of the Stitch - N - Rip 4 - ** Club of Curllsville Homemakers. She had lived the past 54 years in the Curllsville area. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Esther) Swan of Manheim; two sons, Paul Ion Hartman of Greensfork, Ind., and Robert A. Hartman of New Bethlehem RD1; * grandchildren; a sister, Ella Ion of New Lebanon, and a brother, Meade Ion of Gross Pointe, Mich. An infant sister is deceased. Friends are being received at the Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today. Rev. Morris Cooper, former pastor of the United Church of Christ in Curllsville and present administrator of the Greenville Home for the Aged, will officiate.
