William Winston (Bill) Anderson, 85, of Indian Head, MD, passed away on April 25, 2016.
Bill was born in Lanham, MD on October 7, 1930 to the late James and Teresa Anderson.

Bill was the beloved husband and best friend to his late wife, Juanita. He was also preceded in death by his daughters, Glenda Davis and Stacy Matthews. He is survived by his grandsons, Bobby Davis, Tony Davis and Michael Davis, four great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. He was a loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren.
Bill served four years in the Air Force as a Sr. Airmen Policeman; and retired in 1980 after 26 years of service with the Department of Navy, proudly serving as the Chief of the NOS Fire Department. He was a faithful member and elder of the Indian Head Baptist Church. Bill most enjoyed spending time and sharing stories of his life’s journeys with his family and friends. He passed after a brief illness, surrounded by loved-ones. He inspired so many, was much loved and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends at 9 a.m. with the service following at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Indian Head Baptist Church in Indian Head MD, with Pastor Jeff Dwyer officiating. Interment will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD. Condolences for family and friends may be left at williamsfuneralhomepa.com.
