Ray E. Kessler, age 93, of Peoria, formerly of St. Louis, MO, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 at 4:22 a.m. at Hawthorne Manor Care in Peoria.

He was born May 10, 1923 in St. Louis, MO to Albert and Alma (Mueller) Kessler. He married Margaret Tebbe on April 11, 1953 in St. Louis. She passed away June 19, 2013 in Peoria.

Survivors include two sons: Rich (Becky) Kessler of Chesterfield, MO, Wayne (Torey) Kessler of Edelstein, and four grandchildren: Lauren, Brooke, Lee and Amber.

Ray was a WWII Navy veteran. He was a Mechanical Engineer in the St. Louis and Peoria area, last working at Breeze Corp. in Wyoming, IL.

The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice for their compassion and care for Ray.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be with his wife in Valhalla Cemetery, St. Louis, at a later date. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
