Eunice D. Jones, age 94, of Stanleytown Rehab and formerly of Axton, VA passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. She was born on April 29, 1922 in Cascade, VA, a daughter of the late Wallace V. Dillon and the late Hattie A. Dillon. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Morton A. (Buck) Jones; brothers, Louis Dillon, Clay Dillon, Lawrence Dillon, and Nolan Dillon, and sister, Iris Robertson.
Mrs. Jones was retired from Brown Products and was a lifelong member of Carroll Memorial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Freddie, and wife Ruby of Axton, VA; sister, Betty Payne (Frank); brother, Jimmy Dillon; sister-in-law, June Dillion; brother-in-law, Dillard Robertson; grandson, Brian Lawrence (Amber); granddaughter, Amanda Stone (Wes); great-grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Lawrence; special niece and friend Linda Reed (Noel); and several other nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and other times at the home at 3640 Old Liberty Drive. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Norris Funeral Services with Pastor Ann Sisson and Pastor Tony Lundy officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
