"Accident Causes Death"
Last week while working at the carpenter trade on the new house of Dr. C. Childs, a 2x4 accidentally dropped on C.B. Blanchard and was the cause of his death, he passing away Monday. They knew he was badly hurt at the time of the accident and her was removed to the hospital and operated upon but to no avail. He was taken to Creston, their old home for burial.

He and his family came to Audubon about two years ago and he and his son-in-law built and have since maintained the ten cent feed barn on the north side of the square. He has proved in his business methods and his treatment of men that he was a perfect gentleman and one whom men may trust. His wife and family have the deepest sympathy of the entire community in this untimely death though words of comfort and hope have little weight in a sad affliction as this.
