Don Barrett passed away on Jan, 31, 2008 at home after a battle with cancer. He was born April 23, 1928. A lifetime resident of Whatcom Co., he grew up and attended school in Ferndale. In 1950, he married Zynaga Henifin whom he called "Butch." He retired from Georgia Pacific in 1984. He enjoyed spending time at their place on Orcas Island & at Caliente in Florence, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley & Elma Barrett, & brother Ronnie. Don is survived by his wife; his son Rick (Rhonda) Barrett, their children Megen McCullough & Bryan (Amanda) Barrett; daughter Donna Johnson, her children Kody & Kasey Johnson; daughter Jacki Maruska, her daughter Brittney Maruska; & his brothers Lonnie & Jim Barrett. Please join family & friends in a celebration of Don's life on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Squalicum Boathouse in Bellingham Harbor. In lieu of flowers, donations to Whatcom Hospice or favorite charity.
