Huntley, Lawrence P.
MONTICELLO — Lawrence P. Huntley, age 78, of Monticello, passed away on Friday, April 23, 1993, at University Hospital in Madison. He was born in Washington Township, Green County, Wisconsin, on July 29, 1914, the son of Stillmon and Nellie (Pierce) Huntley.
He married the former Florence O. Schulz on April 9, 1941, in Monticello. She passed away on December 1, 1984. Following his marriage, he farmed in Mount Pleasant Township, Green County, Wisconsin, moving to Monticello in 1979. He later worked for the Village of Monticello. He was a member of the Zwingli United Church of Christ, secretary/treasurer of its Brotherhood, and a member of the Adult Fellowship. He was also a member of the Green County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by three sons, George (Elizabeth Anne) of Madison, Gordon (Debbie) of Freeport, Illinois, and David (Linda) of Cross Plains; a brother, Leland of Brodhead; two sisters, Evelyn Bidllngmaler of Monroe and Erma Wettach of Belleville; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 1993, at 11:00 a.m. at the ZWINGLI UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST in Monticello. The Reverend Erwin H. Pegel will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Monticello. The VOEGELI - NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME serving the family.
