Faye is survived by her husband, of 34 years, James N. Sturgis; children, Tim Brooks, Barbara Bell and husband, Ricky, John P. Brooks and wife, Shannon, Mary Abbott and Melanie Sturgis; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law; 3 nieces and 4 nephews; many great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She is preceded in death by grandson, Clayton Bell; daughter, Deborah Sturgis Griggs and grandson, Charles Dews.
The family will be accepting friends between the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 21, 2016 in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
Requiem Mass Celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 2783 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. The Right Reverend James M. Stanton Celebrant and Monsignor Alfred R. Garcia Concelebrant. Following the service there will be a procession to Hilltop Mausoleum, 1810 N. Perry Road, Carrollton, Texas 75006 where Faye will be laid to rest.
Faye was a loving person full of joy and laughter. She had a caring heart and helped many people in need.
Faye will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
