Lonzo L. Adams, 72, 1016 South First street, Monroe, died early Monday morning in a local sanitarium.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Rev. E. L. Averett, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Grady, Embry and Billy Adams, all of Monroe; four daughters, Miss Byrnie Adams, Pasco, Washington; Mrs. Kathryn Dever, Monroe; Mrs. Ruth Phillips, Patterson, N.J., and Mrs. Ruby Dyer, Corpus Christi, Texas; two brothers, Russel Adams, Monroe, and John Adams, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Gordy Herrin, Portland, Ark., and Mrs. Edna Sullivan, Monroe; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be W. L. Judy, Wilber Ellerbe, Sam Campbell, Ira Cagle, Lamar Coleman and Shelby Hill.

Mr. Adams was a well-known building contractor.
