Funeral services for Ann Newton Copeland, 65, of Gilbertown will be held Tuesday, December 27th at 10 A.M. at Lusk Baptist Church with Bro. Howard Gaston and Bro. Scott Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Lusk Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 26th at Bumpers Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M.
Mrs. Copeland passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. She was born December 1, 1951 in Bay Minette, Alabama to McRoy and Bernice “Snooks” Newton. She was retired from Vanity Fair.
Survivors include her husband Marshall “Hotshot” Copeland of Gilbertown, AL; son Roy Copeland and wife Rachael of Butler, AL; sister Lavon Newton of Gilbertown, AL; sister-in-law Carol Newton of Gilbertown, AL; grandchildren Addyson and Emma Marshall Copeland; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents McRoy and Bernice “Snooks” Mosley Newton and her brother Billy Newton.
Pallbearers: Jimmie Tindle, Chris Bryan, Michael Copeland, Tommy Dailey, Roger Williamson, and Glen “Shoestring” Caves. Honorary Pallbearers: Deacons of Lusk Baptist Church and Perry Newton.
