Dau. of Caroline "Carrie" (Blackington) Lewis & Benjamin J. Lewis [also known as Benezette/Bengetto Lewis]. Mrs. Adelaide Lewis Briggs, wife of Warren G. Briggs, Hallstead, PA., died suddenly in the home of her son, Lewis Briggs, Georgetown, Sussex Co., Delaware. Mrs. Briggs was visiting in the home of her son when she was stricken. Deceased was well known in this locality, having resided in Montrose, Clarks Green, Factoryville, and other places in this area before making her home with her husband in Hallstead a number of years ago. Her husband died ten days later on 28 Nov 1941, in Binghamton, Broome, NY at his daughter's home, Mrs. Archie C. (Freda) Barker. Mr. and Mrs. Briggs had been married over a half a century. Children are: Freda, Earle S., Lewis William & Ralph M. Briggs.
