SMITHFIELD -- Olivia Jones Flowers, age 92, died Friday evening in Johnston Memorial Hospital. Born May 31, 1912 in Johnston County to the late James Wyatt and Olivia Creech Jones, she was the widow of Nathan Thomas Flowers and was preceded in death by a son, James N.Flowers. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the Rev. Fred Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
Surviving are her daughter, Ann Lee and husband Guy of Smithfield; sister, Margaret Twisdale of Smithfield; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandson.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter, 2172 Buffalo Road, Smithfield, NC 27577.
