Timothy John Murphy, Sr., "Pa," age 75, of Anderson, joined his Heavenly Father on Friday, March 18, 2016, upon his death at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Ross Murphy and the late Clarice Feldkircher Murphy. For fifty years, he was the loving and devoted husband of Dorothy Magold Murphy of the residence. Mr. Murphy proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. He was retired from IBM where he was employed as a Field Engineer, and later as a Worldwide Marketing Manager.

In addition to his wife, Dorothy, Mr. Murphy is survived by two sons, Timothy J. Murphy, Jr., and his wife, Andrea, of Cumming, GA and Brian P. Murphy and his wife, Heather, of Tallahassee, FL; a daughter, Doreen M. White and her husband, Steven, of Cumming, GA; three brothers, Sean Murphy and his wife, Gail, from Cleveland, OH, Michael Murphy and his wife, Judy of Goodyear, AZ, and Dennis Murphy of Erie, PA; two sisters, Lori Tischler and her husband Dale, of Brunswick, OH and Mary Nora Murphy; a sister-in-law, Clarice Murphy of Cleveland, OH; and six grandchildren, Jessica White, Kristen White, Sarah Jane Murphy, Gregory Murphy, Megan Murphy, and Emily Anne Murphy.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Murphy; a sister, Patricia Gasper, and a brother-in-law, Charlie Gasper.

The funeral mass to honor and celebrate the life of Timothy J. Murphy, Sr. will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, with Friar Henry Fulmer, OFM and Friar Mike Jones, OFM officiating. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at Saint Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
