Randall Alan Schlueter, age 90, of Falmouth, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at the River Valley Nursing Home, in Butler, Kentucky. Born on June 3, 1926, in DeMossville, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Alexander and Cora Belle Burlew Schlueter. On March 20, 1952, he married Larna Brown, and she survives his passing. He was a 39-year employee of the Siemen’s Company, where he worked as an electrical motor assembler. He was a veteran of the US Army 101st Airborne Division and a member of the Lenoxburg Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 60 years. He loved working on the farm, fishing, growing fruit trees to give away and UK basketball.

In addition to his wife, Larna Brown Schlueter, he is survived by: three children, Roger Alan (Amy Barnes) Schlueter, of Falmouth, Steven Dale (Jenny) Schlueter, of Falmouth, and Lori Denise (Joe) Sharrow, of Leeds, Alabama; 11 grandchildren, Kraig Schlueter, Kristan Schlueter, Chris Barnes, Peyton Barnes, Stephanie Schlueter, Drew Schlueter, Sarah Schlueter, Amy Sharrow, Joshua Sharrow, Hannah Sharrow and Maia, Sharrow; seven great-grandchildren, Kora, Torie, Kellen, Harper, Stella, Lukas and James; one sister: Beulah (Alton) Elrod, of Foster, Kentucky; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Schlueter and Mary Lou Schlueter. He was preceded in death by: a sister, Wilma Opal Schlueter; and two brothers, Earl Winston Schlueter and Ralph Edward Schlueter.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 23, at 1:00 p.m. at Woodhead Funeral Home, in Falmouth, with Bro. Darryl Wilder and Bro. Fred Workman officiating. Pallbearers will be Christopher Barnes, Drew Schlueter, Kristan Schlueter, Joshua Sharrow, Tim Flaugher and Kraig Schlueter. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Adams and Bob Florer, Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. preceding the service. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lenoxburg Baptist Church: 7952 KY Highway 10 N, Falmouth, Kentucky 41040.
