Arch Glenn Hunter, 84, of Elkview, went home to be with the Lord on December 19, 2016, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston. He passed peacefully after a long illness.

He loved his family and is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Regina Hunter; children, Arch Glenn "Slick" Hunter Jr. (Lynn), William Steven Hunter (Robin) and Sandra Suzanne Mossberg (Chris); grandchildren, Mark Gregory, Steven, Katye, Courtney, Nick and Zak; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Stanley Hunter, Ronnie Hunter, Joe Hunter and Mark Hunter; and sister, Edna Neal.

Glenn was a co-founding member of Bible Christian Chapel in Pinch. He lived by his faith daily, always believing and trusting in God. An Army veteran, he retired from Libby Owens Ford Glass Company with 30 years of service. His passion for the outdoors included his farm in Reedy and hunting. Many wonderful hours were spent with family and friends deer and coon hunting, and fox chasing - especially with his brother, Ronnie.

Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, December 22, at the Hafer Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, at the funeral home.
