Ruth Hoggatt Carter, age 94, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Howard P. Carter. Mother of Gena Carter Henriques. Mother-in-law of Walter F. Henriques. Grandmother of Lindsey Taylor Henriques. Daughter of the late Eugene Thomas Hoggatt and Lafletta Bankston Hoggatt. Sister of Christina H. Cranford, Freddie M. Hoggatt, Thomas N. Hoggatt and the late Lawrence W. Hoggatt, Eugene T. Hoggatt, Rosa H. Wade, Ruby H. Pino and Lafletta H. Day. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Carter's family would like to extend a special thank you to God's Angels Sitting Service for their wonderful care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation in Metairie, LA on Thursday morning, November 3, 2016 beginning at 9:30 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home's chapel.
