Robert Mosby "Bob" Partin was born near the area of Old North Church in Nacogdoches County, Texas. he was the son of William H. Bill" and Annie Isabell Mosby Partin. He grew up there and married a lady by the name of Lilliam Collins. After she died, Bob married a lady by the name of Hazel Hill. Hazel was raised in nearby Appleby, Texas. Bob and Hazel ran a dairy farm for many years on the Lone Star Road west of Nacogdoches. After he retired from the dairy business he and Hazel distributed the news paper for the Sentinal in Nacogdoches.

Bob belonged to the Methodist Church in Nacogdoches. He also was a member in the Masonic Lodge in Nacogdoches. He served as the Worshipful Master of the Lodge one year. One of Bob's sisters, Hettie Dow, is buried near him as is his second wife Hazel.

Bob lived to be 93 years and 4 months and 1 day old.
