Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes.
OCEAN SPRINGS --- Robert Carrolton Hancock, 58, of Ocean Springs, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, in Covington County, MS.
Mr. Hancock was an RN at Ocean Springs Hospital. He was an operating room nurse. He was a musician, an avid motorcycle rider, poet and songwriter. He also enjoyed metal detecting. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 635 and Joppa Gold Wings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Onnie and Ethel Hancock; and a brother, Willie Dale Hancock.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Hancock of Ocean Springs; four daughters, Patsy Hancock Merrill and Toby Duncan, both of Biloxi, Nikki Hancock of Ocean Springs and Jinny Leigh Hancock of Meridian; a son, Thomas Ray Hancock of Jacksonville, FL; two stepsons, Ezekial "Zeke" Unterberg of Madison, Wisconsin, and Matthew John Unterberg and wife, Jennifer, of Hattiesburg; two sisters, Lillie Burkes and Rosie Lee Puckett, both of Mt. Olive; and four grandchildren, Brandy Michelle Ramsey, Natasha Duncan, Corey Duncan and Dakota Cheyenne Hancock.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home where friends may call from noon until service time. Burial will be Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at 2:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorials be made to: The Shriners Children's Hospital, 3100 Samfort Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71103.
