She married Garth Leslie Maddock on September 5, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with six children. They enjoyed 63 wonderful years together. Garth passed away in July of 2010.

Lois was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and will be missed. She loved her family. She was an excellent cook and shared with neighbors and friends and made a cookbook that everyone enjoys. Having been asked to compile a history of the Ogden 21st Ward, she wrote a beautiful history that was enjoyed by all the ward members.

Lois was active in the LDS Church, serving as Relief Society and Primary president. She and Garth served in the Manchester England Mission in 1985-86. She was an excellent visiting teacher. She was a great example of a Christ-like life.

She is survived by her five children: Leslie (Paula) Maddock, Ogden; Karen (Ken) Henrie, Coalville; Brent (Denise) Maddock, Centerville; Nancy (Randy) Eckert, Ogden; Doug (Laurie) Maddock, Brigham City; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
