Gerald Xavier Barron, Jr., 15, of West Orchard Lane, Carlsbad, NM, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Carlsbad. Cremation will take place and the family is having a Memorial service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Word of Life Church with Pastor Jason Shirley officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery (new section).

Gerald was born in Carlsbad, NM on August 26, 2001. He loved God, his family, his church and playing his guitar. He was a Freshman at CHS and a member of the youth at Word of Life Church. He was a really kind, loveable, warm hearted child of God. He was loved by all that knew him and will be missed immensely.

Gerald is survived by his mother, Yecenia Sandoval; father, Gerald Barron, Sr.; brothers, Aarion and Cesar Barron; uncle, Alexander Sandoval and companion, Stacy Yarborough; aunt, Yohana Sandoval and companion, Manuel Tovar and maternal grandmother, Martina Sandoval, all of Carlsbad; paternal grandmother, Mary Barron of Artesia and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
