Aurelius P. Orzehowski, 80, of Latrobe, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2016. at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital.
Born Dec. 30, 1935, in Latrobe, he was a son of the late Stanley and Stella (Sweiczkowski) Orzehowski.
Aurelius was a member of St. Vincent Basilica, where he served as a lector.
He was retired from Latrobe Steel Co. and had volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul.
He was a vigil honor member of the Order of the Arrow, Boy Scouts of America. Aurelius enjoyed bowling, fishing, and working crossword puzzles, and most recently became an avid reader.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Anthony, Thomas, Stanley Jr., Arthur, and Gervase Orzehowski, and five sisters, Jane Wayda, Marcella Hayes, Leonarda De Pree, Rita Morrow, and Martha Quinn.
Aurelius is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann (Jenkins) Orzehowski, of Latrobe; one son, Aurelius Aaron Orzehowski, and his wife, Tammy, of Derry; three daughters, Edith Marie Orzehowski, and her husband, Tim Jacobs, of Latrobe, Martina Ann Dulaney, and her friend, Aaron Dominick, of Latrobe, and Amanda Sue Mooney, and her husband, Robert, of Latrobe; five grandchildren, Hope Leigh Plummer, Austin Orzehowski, Robert A. Mooney Jr., Audrey Paige Mooney, and Cid; three great-grandchildren, Masyn Plummer, Sienna Orzehowski, and Parker Plummer; and he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent Basilica. Interment will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery.
