James was employed at Fischer Body for 31 years retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge #17. His hobby for many years was cracking walnuts and pecans, which he did every day.
He is survived by three sons, James (Barbara) Best, of Hamilton, OH, David (Shirley) Best, of Conesville, OH, Steve (Jean) Best, Hamilton, OH; 7 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; three sisters and one brother. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11AM with Pastor Steve Botts officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 10AM-11AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to any Hospice organization of donor's choice.
