Bernice was a graduate of Stokes Business College and retired as a marketing specialist from the Defense Supply Agency. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. In earlier years she was active in Garden Club work. Bernice was a faithful member of Holmes Avenue Baptist Church of North Charleston.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia C. Inman of North Charleston, SC; grandson Benjamin B. Inman, Jr. (Alicia) of Rapid City, South Dakota; and her great-grandchildren, Audrey Marie and Braydon Brooks Inman. She is also survived by her nieces.
In addition to her husband of 67 years, Tommy, she was preceded in death by a sister, Leola Mims Dixon, and a brother, Hubie E. Mims.
